That’s probably the only way. I’m sure other folks would hop in, including myself. No one knows if they are making campers. They obviously don’t care about communicating or even making campers given they are going to a fucking expo instead of working on shortening the 4 year fucking wait for this POS.

To clarify; I’m not sure if they actually are at Overland Expo. I’m just being presumptuous based on how I’ve contacted them in the past compared to now

Maybe after the shows someone near by can do another drive-by check-in? Those always make me feel better (somehow) !

I drove to the shop about 2 months ago and it was open. Phil was not there and there was one camper frame that was not being worked on. The two shop employees said they are basically at a standstill due to lack of parts because of supply chain issues. I plan on stopping by again next week. I am also definitely interested in taking this to small claims if needed as a group, i have been waiting 2.5 years with no communication in the last 10 months.

Man, small claims. That’s concerning. We all need to keep people in the loop. So that if something like that is in the works, we can try to get refunds through our CC company. I’m afraid that if a bunch of people pull money out, that vagabond would crumble.

Last I knew, small claims in California has a maximum of $10,000.

Per claim. It’s a real fear, we all seen the “SoCal” company that took a bunch of money and didn’t produce anything. Hate to bring that up but it’s baffling that they haven’t figured this out and that there website still says 12 month lead times.

I was at the shop ~ June 1st and there was in the neighborhood of ten lids just received on the floor. The bottom parts were to be picked up later that week and I heard they were.

It is troubling nobody has had any communication with Vagabond. I’m doing a drop in next week and hope to see at least ten campers in the build process.

If not, then we do in fact have a problem that will need to be resolved.

I asked twice for a refund but didn't hear anything so I went to my credit card company and was notified this morning that the refund had been posted back into my account. I was expecting and willing to take a 15% hit on the refund if they had just communicated with me but here we are. In the meantime I picked up a camper in April from that Portland company and I'm more than happy with it. It's not a Drifter but, as someone else in this forum said, at the end of the day I just want a place to sleep. Vagabond makes a wonderful product, I hope they figure this out soon.

It’s definitely concerning, especially if everyone starts getting cc refunds and/or going to small claims court. I’ve been calling both Phil’s cell and the office line multiple times/week and emailing the various accounts as well. Absolutely nothing for communication. If they are at a standstill for parts, they should be on phone talking to waiting customers.

Sorry fellas Unfortunately I did not make the trip to VO shop last week. But my little brother is heading back home to the bay today and He’s willing to make a detour to the shop. I really Hope Phil there to answer some questions. I will keep y’all updated.

Well FCK, that’s not a good sign. I’ve dropped in several times on different days of the week and they have always been open. It’s my hope they just closed early on a Friday as this was later in the day when your brother stopped by.

I will be there on Monday morning and will let you know what I find. If it’s still locked up I’ll go talk with the other businesses in the complex and then be going by Phil’s house and knocking on his door.

My camper should be complete except for the rear panel for the tern door. Phil sent me pics of the powder coat on May 3rd and we had dialog about where to locate my L track and USB port on the ceiling. I've been trying to reach him since June 16th, telling him I will just come get my Nomad with the glass hatch and he can ship the back panel to me when it comes in, but haven't got a response. I get a little sick feeling in my stomach every time I think about it and I'm already kicking myself for adding the panel because everyone else in my batch except 165 (who was getting a special long bed version) got theirs delivered. After meeting Phil and the other guys in person at Overland, I really trusted them. But with the sourcing problems he has had, I know a business can get sideways pretty quick without cash flow. Looking forward to your report.

I saw your Nomad in June and it did look complete except for the back panel. With communication aside I’m still hoping for the best out of Phil. Like you after physically speaking with him thee times I felt comfortable in trusting him to deliver.

I researched and knew all these ahead of time before I placed the order, so I'm NOT going to complain about anything. I just feel bad for everyone who didn't know all these ahead of time before placing their orders.
    I still believe in Phil.
