Regarding the spreadsheet not being updated... customers that are next in the queue or have picked up their Drifter/Nomad recently tend to disappear from TW and the spreadsheet for a while if not forever as they don't have to try and get info from it anymore. So I'm not surprised that it's been a bit quiet with updates to it.

Also, those that are now trying to dump their spot on other places like ExPo, don't mention anything other than "it's supposed to be finished this month", so I'm sure that's why there's been selective scrubbing on the spreadsheet as well...

Well I am #181 (I purchased the spot from Steve back in March/April), and I am still waiting. However, I did have to get the order switched from a 5ft bed to a 6ft bed, so with the timing and orders from laser cutting companies, Phil mentioned I might be moved back a batch while someone in the second upcoming batch with a 5ft Tacoma build that matched specs would be moved up to the immediate batch

This is also a fair point to make with the "slowness" on Vagabond's side... People hold out on paying their final invoices, making changes that either delay the laser cutting stage or defer cutting to a human to do it by hand late in the process, etc. Other brands don't have infinite configurability and just put out a few options and send the customer on their way. Tightening down on the options could only help Vagabond speed things up, but that's one of the benefits of the Drifter/Vagabond is that you have input on getting a product for how you plan to use it.

Definitely didn't not mean to downplay the effort made on the spreadsheet or cast doubts to its accuracy, sorry about that @JasonLee

Moreso, I was honestly curious as to whether people are *placing* orders in 2022. Did VO finally stop taking orders in order to catch up (my hope that is the only reasoning, if so), are the only people placing new orders not TW members (and obviously don't see this thread), or whether something weirder was happening.

My bet is that many of the sales VO got from the Overland shows have no clue about this thread. I found it via google.

Especially if snap on tells you it will only be 12 months, accepts thousands of dollars from you for a down payment on the wrench, and then goes radio silent while you wait the 3 years...

Where can I find the spread sheet @JasonLee and where did you all find your order #? I don’t see anything on my invoice and I ordered January of 2020. Much appreciated!

The spreadsheet is in the first post on this forum but this is the link again: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/2/d/1-Adf_gdp2qHn6fBcosQyigwRp7VkawwSyyAHIbQgOh4/htmlview

As for your number, it seems people haven’t gotten them as consistently and have invoice numbers instead of order numbers, and it should be noted it’s not a 100% measure of where you are in “line”. If you ordered in January 2020 you are likely in the early 200’s, as I am #201 and we ordered 1/6/2020. You can put yourself in there based on order date easily.

    Cheap joke time–

Had to travel to the Bay for work this week. Tried to scope out VO for you all, couldn't see any progress being made... (That's Benecia from the plane.)

Phil scammed this onto my truck yesterday. To say I was ecstatic is the understatement of the year. My tent insulation was delayed so he will get that to me but the Nomad was perfect. The 330 Watt Solar Panel covers almost the whole roof.

I had an in depth conversation with Phil about some of the challenges he has had. He is basically in a catch 22 situation... he can't get priority from suppliers for small quantities which is holding him back from ramping production with the ability to order large qty's of components. There were ten campers on the floor that looked totally complete except for the tents. He is also prebuilding now with what he does have available. I also saw six roofs complete and ready to go-pic below.

But the best part is, and one I was stressing about... it fit in my garage!!! I made it home this morning at 4:30 am after having to pull over for some zzzz's. Now I just have to wait until it cools off in Phoenix and then this bad boy is getting a matching camo job.

The rear panel still had not arrived but I knew that before heading there. Everything else was done so I asked Phil to put the window on so I could use it at the end of August for a trip. This was a quick turnaround but when I go back to pick it up, I'll be doing an overlanding trip in conjunction.

Also, when I head back for the back panel, I am going to have the Max fan installed. Not sure what I was calculating height-wise. I was even counting for weight sag and thought there was going to be less than an inch of clearance under the garage door. It was an absolute requirement that it fit in the garage. As it is now, I have a little over 3 inches when means I should have got the fan... Doh!

That’s the most helpful post I’ve seen in this thread in some time. Much more productive than the speculation of bankruptcy and ghosting.
