had the day off and decided to drive out to Benicia since I figured it would be the best way to check up on this after I've had trouble getting ahold of the team. Well, they have a ton of shells nearing completion and were getting work done. Was pretty cool and hoping the end of year delivery is real

Wooo! More good news! So excited to see VO pushing campers out the door and the rollout videos start again.

I'll share the anger that they aren't the best at communicating, however, you can't blame them for how messed up the whole supply chain is. Every industry is hurting, and much larger folks have been hording parts, materials ect, that makes everyone's lives harder. They can't move unfinished campers out, so they just get stuck waiting. Sucks for us all, but it is hardly a localized issue.

It may but at that point, it's not them, it's supply chain. Either way, another month or tomorrow, I'm happy cause in the end...

Maybe neither. I represent a large AC Manufacturer in North America and they have been plagued by the EC Motor chip shortage. The last order I had that was being held up, they told me the fans were supposed to arrive May 12th and they would install them and ship the following week. Two weeks later the units still had not shipped. Bugging the factory again they stated they never got a tracking number from the fan supplier and had been hounding them for updates with no response since then. There's a reason it's called a chain. If someone upstream fails on their promise, then my factory was neither lying nor communicating horribly. They were promising me a date based on a good faith promise from their supplier. Now could they have informed me they never got tracking info and it wasn't looking good? Maybe, but they are extremely overwhelmed with complaints from reps all over the US in the same predicament harassing them all hours of the day and night for their order. Phil is in the same boat... overwhelmed and with bad info from his suppliers who is most likely low on the list for due to his volume. It's a catch 22 for him.

Why dont you just not get the L-track and have a plate cover your fan? Take it home and install it yourself. Win win.

I’m sure you can get in touch with Phil about that! I installed my own L-track and its a cake walk. I hope you get your camper soon!

P.S. install the L-track and the roof rack to the L-track! If its crossbars like the Yakima ones (with 1A feet), it’ll fit perfect.

Has anyone received any updates? Was told material was planned on hand 2 months ago for my build ,which is somehow a regression from the update I was provided last year.

You won’t. Everyone around here gets one piece of “good news” and pretends like this shit show isn’t happening. Who knows the last time a camper was finished. It’s like one a month, maybe…

I can confirm there is I think 10-12 almost complete campers on the shop floor.

VO is the only company with “supply chain issues” relative to other companies. And since they aren’t making campers since they have no supplies, they should be catching up on communication or updating customers but they aren’t doing that either. I’m curious to know the answer as well.

To me the lack of communication is inexcusible. Yes supply issues are what they are but like others have said, other companies are not having these issues and some of the companies are even newer in the game. Ive visited some companies whos previous customers had orders with VO. To me its pretty sad.

They had since cancelled orders due to absurd 2 year wait times or severe lack of comms.
