OP, just curious did they haggle you over the lift? It looks like your truck is lifted and I’ve always feared if anything happened to the power train they would blame my lift.

I wouldn’t be disappointed if my BFF told me she was gay. But a vegan... It would be hard to recover from that.

Sorry to hear you had problems with the Taco OP. You are one of the minority of customers that had serious problems with the Taco. Regardless, it sucks going thru it. CONGRATS with the T4R, another beautiful truck!!!

They tried to give me shit about everything on the first day. "Man, you must REALLY OFFROAD A LOT."

Uh, I mean I offroad, but I bought a 3 inch Fox suspension, made sure to adjust the drive angle with a spacer, and I take care of my truck, dude. TBH the dealer was kind of pissing me off at that point.

Eventually the super-cool service tech named "Thang" (with a freaking dragon tattoo) told me that when Toyota of North America called he told them that my truck was only "lightly" modified. Props to that guy.

I'm just happy to have a (almost) manual transfer case lever now. :benchpress:

I've learned so much from being here that I knew which features were important to me so I also very much appreciate that.

I'm very happy to have a rear locker now too.

I figured. Typical dealer stuff it seems like. I would get ticked off too. I really want to lift my truck more (only at 1” currently) but if something goes wrong I don’t want to get screwed and not get a cool tech and then I have to fork out money to repair something that isn’t correlated to the modifications. Will they get back to you on the probable cause for failure of the transfer case?

Congratulations (in a bittersweet way) on the new 4Runner - Great Looking!. I am lucky enough to have both a 3rd Gen Tacoma and a 5th Gen 4Runner. I do enjoy my 4Runner (and my taco). You won't be sorry you bought the 4Runner. :)

Good luck man. I did the same thing (traded for a Tundra) not because of broken but because I needed more capability. So in the past ten years I have owned a 4Runner, Tacoma and now a Tundra. Enjoy! I stick around here because nobody else will have me.
