Do you folks ever do that? For some reason it's happening a lot to me lately, kind of embarrassing in traffic.

We don't cotton much to any type of rudeness here in the south so you always have to wave your hands around trying to signal it was unitentional.

I don't think it's unique to the 2nd gen Tacoma but I have a habit of resting my left elbow on the window ledge with my palm on the wheel right at the edge of the horn.

I don't know how you southerners can hear any car horn with all the glass pack exhausts down there. I motorcycled down there a few years ago and I know exactly what I would do if I moved down there. Open a muffler shop. He must be the richest man in town.

I don't get it? You are putting your hand on the center of the wheel? Us new englanders must have a different drivers Ed program, I don't think I've ever done this...

No, his thumb is touching the edge of the horn and he hits it occasionally.
    I can see it happening.

That's correct. One (left) hand on the spoke area that is at the 9:00 or 9:30 position near edge of the horn plate (at least on my 2007). I don't normally do it at highway speed, just in slower stop-go traffic.

Kind of reminds me the first time I was at LAX airport standing out in the taxi-shuttle pickup area. Horns blowing everywhere and I was thinking what the heck is wrong with these people. Then I figured out it was just their standard signal when they were about to enter or exit a parking spot.
