    Hey Guys,

This is more information only than me complaining about the customer service from Auxbeam. I installed the 8-Gang Switch Controller from Auxbeam and it was working fine for the first two weeks. Went on a couple of trails and everything worked. I was utilizing 6 switches at the time: (1) DRL's (for ligthbar), (2) Bumper Lightbar (Baja Designeds S8), (3) Baja Designs Ditch Lights, (4) Hood Scoop Lightbar, (5) Air Compressor and (6) a Whip Light. During my 3rd trip (while off roading), my whip light turned off by itself. I tried turning it on and the whip light blinked for 5 seconds and then became unresponsive. I just thought that it was a bad whip light. At the end of the trip, I was trying to turn on my compressor to air up and same thing: when I hit the on switch, it powered on for about 3 seconds then turned off. It became unresponsive again.

I went home and checked the switch controller with a voltage meter. The switch controller was sending power to the devices when turned on. I traced all the lines and voltage to all my devices and they all seem to be getting power as expected, but only the compressor and the whip light was not turning on. I checked all fuses and came to the conclusion that the Auxbeam was faulty and damaged 2 of my accessories. I really didn't care about the whip light as much but wanted to get my compressor fixed since it's only been less than 2 years since purchased date.

I emailed ARB and they were able to identify to possible issues that may be able to fix the compressor: (1) a bad pressure switch or (2) a bad relay. Here are two tests you can perform if your ARB Compressor is not working (and this is directly from them):

    --------------------------------------- Beginning of email ---------------------------------------

There are 2 tests you can perform to check if any of these parts on the twin or single compressor would possibly need to be replaced.

First would be testing the pressure switch. For the Twin Compressor this will be located under the top cover and for the single this would be on the manifold. There will be a yellow and purple wire connected to the switch itself. You would simply disconnect those 2 wires together and jump them with either a paper clip or 10 gauge wire. You would then turn on the compressor as normal. If this turn on the compressor itself this would mean the pressure switch would need to be replaced. This Part number is 180901.

The second test would be testing the relay itself on the compressor. To bypass this you would disconnect the red and black wire behind the motor. (This would work for both the single and twin compressor except for the twin you would perform this test on each individual motors separately.) You would then apply 12v to the red wire and negative to the black. Then you would turn the compressor on as normal. If this powers up the motor this would indicate the relay would need to be replaced. This part number is 180905SP.

    I hope this information helps.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    --------------------------------------- End of email ---------------------------------------

Luckily for me, the first test determined that I had a bad switch. They sent me a new one with 2day shipping and it was delivered the next day. Auxbeam determined that I had a faulty switch controller (through a video submission) and also sent me a new one, however, they refused to provide me a replacement for my whip light.

I hope this helps someone with similar issues.
