Does any have any ideas for me, other than taking my truck in to the shop..? My heater needs a new coupling unit I guess. The motor is good. The wires seem fine. The plastic piece that houses the wires and makes a connection to the heater is HIGHLY SUSPECT!!! In the picture you can see the wire was zip tied as a quick fix, but I need something more permanent. I feel like this fix could be faster than 2 days (which is what the guys at the shop said)....

    Any ideas?!?!?!!??

I literally just laughed out loud, multiple times...!

That little white piece of plastic, at the end of those wires, goes in to the blower motor. The zip ties were used to pull the wire, to get the blower motor to work (something similar to a cell phone charging cord having a short in it... You could apply some level of pressure to the cord and it would work). I would like to fix this problem, but I'm not sure where to get that little plastic piece.

    OK

yeah those connectors are one of a dozen types used on toyota

digikey or other electronic shops can match that connector

the problem is the type of connector, they all have specific names, you may need
to google around to find the connector type name and then find a source
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
what I would do instead is

get some female spade connectors, one for each blower motor pin,

and make yourself a pigtail on each...then wire that up to replace the white connector

any auto parts store or electronic store should have enough parts. use wire at least as thick as original

one problem is, how did the first connector get mangled ?

if the blower motor is overheating or otherwise....that might be the problem and with
a better connection, now it can catch fire where melting is preferred (melt, connection dies, no fire)

--------it the motor itself dead, I don't have diagnostics to determine that (techinfo @toyota.com might)

so.....that is why 2 days, they'd rip out entire dash and replace the motor

Toyota has a kit you can buy as a harness repair kit, i recommend replacing resistor as well. kit will come with new connector too! then just take a couple
butt connectors and clamp them to the old two wires and you should be golden

The blower motor seems to work fine. I think someone got in to the truck one day and yanked on the cord more than it liked...
That incident brought on the need for added tension. I'm going to look in to these ideas!!

I really appreciate the information you guys!! Super helpful
