I’d be interested as well, depending on cost and shipping to BC.

I agree it's difficult to get a 100% commitment without knowing a realistic ballpark cost... @oostroma would it be possible for you to narrow down a price so more folks can decide to commit?

    What we know:
    - It looks good and almost identical to OEM
    - It fits
    - It's comparable quality to the OEM skid plate
    - We can get a better price and cheaper shipping cost in a group buy

We'd just need a realistic figure on cost.

    Thanks!

Not sure if things are different up north there, but my access panel is actually for the filter, my oil wrench fits up there just fine, need a extension so your socket reaches but that’s it, and to drain the oil, the plug is the little hole behind the access panel on the rear of the skid. No need to remove entire skid to change oil or filtero_O:notsure:

So the overall cost is dependent on how many people are in on the group buy.
It is $160 per skid plate. Then bulk shipping to one address is $400-$450 for 5 units. Per person it would be $250 per skid plate.

Now lets say it is now 7 people, and even if shipping increases to $500. The it would be $230 per skid plate.

So I would say the price hovers around $230-300.
Also, this is USD btw. Since I operate from the US. Just FYI.

It would be the same on this Faux skid plate.
We changed the oil on my friends truck w/ OEM TRD skid plate, and we used the strap type to get the oil filter.
Cause he couldn't get his oil filter wrench to fit.

I'll go get some pictures of my access panel.

Thanks for the info! I think that's good info to know for the folks still on the fence.

Only added cost to this is shipping to whatever locale after they arrive here. That's the only wildcard and it can be estimated with a phone call or online tools with various carriers in one's respective area. The skid plate weighs 12kg and the package is approx 2'x3'x6" so that gives a headstart to get shipping prices.

Ye, shipping it to every individual after is the hard part. Since these are so big and somewhat heavy, it can throw estimates off by a lot.

Please start a conversation directly for details. I'm not asking for a commitment in this thread. It is the just an ad. That way the thread does not get bogged down with back and forth questions etc. Currently the ad is for TW members in SW Ontario to start. If all goes well, as I'm expecting, I would like to do it again and expand out to other provinces provided the broker does not get tired of us Canadian trying to get the best bang for the $ for modding our Taco.

    @Snowman7878
So to follow up, I went and took some pictures.
Sorry if I was mistaken on my previous posting. Looking at it, ye you will need about a 5" extension to reach it from the opening. Though, I can see how my friend couldn't get his oil filter wrench to work.

I will edit my post to provide the correct information.
