I bought my set used but didn't want to splice so I bought these and they did the trick for my TRD Sport

I think I’ve decided to wait for the retrofit source pre-made retro.

Do any other places sell prebuilt retro’s?

Nice find! Those should work perfect

The sets USR has now have the plug on them so nobody has to cut their stock lights wiring anymore. That is if you order the correct set from the drop down menus on their website.

Finished up, was actually easier than videos on YouTube made out for taking the headlights out. Took around 30-40 mins top to install. So if anyone is curious if you happen to buy a set of these and they are the ones for the SR models, don’t worry just cut the square thingy off and wire direct, the colors all match and simple.

Looks excellent man!!! Also got the SR grille bezel so your all blacked out now

If your looking for some better low beam bulbs try these. They are way better than stock & highly recommended plus lots cheaper than Autozone places price!

I have the ones for SR5 without DRL and I’m trying to figure out how to still use my VLED switchback turns. Anyone tried it?

OT, are those the yellow covers for the Rigid lamps or did you paint / film them?

It’s yellow film off Amazon, it’s two layers thick because I didn’t like the look of just one. The sm-r covers actually fit these lights since they are well the sm-r series that are on the pro models. But the amber cover is a bit darker in color and a pain to take on and off if needed. So I went this route.

Idk. You did a direct wire in as well. When I get home Monday I’m gonna take them out and check the wires. Didn’t go for the solder but used crimps and heat shrink.

what gets me is, they will run for a few hours then blow a fuse. But when they are on, I’ll shake and touch the point where my connection is and no flicker no anything.

Let me ask, did you keep that square module and wired into that? Or did you cut direct at the led wires from the headlights and wire in like an oem finish?

Hmmmm that is strange. I cut the factory plugs off my stock lights & soldiered onto the DEPO lights. Just checking but you didn't use the resistor plates in the box did you?

I didn’t use the resistor plate. I wired straight into the housing as if it was factory. I thought that’s what I needed too do.

    Ah were back online!

Ok yea we don't need the resistor plates for Sport/OffRoad's just checking. So here's what I did. Cut the RED/BLACK/PINK about 5" or so coming from the rubber grommet. At that point you will discard black plug & the 2 RED/BLACK wires sets that go to the white plugs. Those white plugs are for the resistor plates. If those are still connected but not actually plugged into anything that might get moisture & cause the short circuit.

    ***EDIT***
I think you cut the plug off the harness of the truck. That will need to go back on. Then cut the plugs from your factory headlights & splice them onto the 3 wires coming from the DEPO lights. This will keep matching factory plugs mated up

    Hope this makes sense

That first pic you posted of the set is how I did mine. Just a factory direct plug. When I get home I’m gonna take apart my heat shrink and check the connections. Something must be loose. But depo should really have some photo instructions. I’m not the most electrical savvy person so I know that would help. What gets me is they told me I’d have to purchase a separate module and solder in, I even asked about cutting something from what their website said. I apprciate the help

Yea they probably thought you had the newer version that is 100% plug & play. No cutting. The older sets were meant for SR/SR5 models to upgrade to have the LED DRL's so they sold them with resistor plates to prevent hyperflashing but with modification they could be used for the Sport/OffRoad models that wanted the Pro style blackout lights.

If you look closely at the 2nd picture the red & black wires are spliced into the white plugs. Those need to come out.
