    I thought they started out decent with their first album. After that was a steep downhill slope. Just my opinion so doesn’t matter for much.


    That Cake song on the other hand was cool. That album was a front to back listener for me back in to day.

    If there was a song that changed things for me it was hearing "No Depression" by Uncle Tupelo. It might have been 1989, 1990, not exactly sure. But my life and path wasn't the same after hearing this song. I was a punk, still am a punk I guess. I was into Suicidal Tendencies, X, DK, Minutemen. But hearing the mesh of punk and folk, e.g. alternative, cow punk, Americana, then grunge whatever, well my mind was blown anyway.

    I saw them last summer with their replacement vocalist. They still sound pretty good. It was them, Bush, and the Cult. 90’a flashbacks like crazy.
