I brew most of the beer I drink. I have the following in the closet I've made over the last year:

    50 bottles of Heffenweizen
    40+ bottles Russian Red ALe
40+ bottles strong Belgian ale ( 14% ABV)
    40+ bottles Maiboch
    50 bottles hard cider

If I buy beer, my favs are: Fat Tire ( their flagship beer is excellent), and a Belgian beer called Gulden Draak, which is this super-strong ale that's around 12% ABV. I've been trying to replicate it, which is what my 14% Belgian ale tried to be, but wound up tasting different, but good. There's this stuff from Russia that's pretty good, plus its cheap called Baltika. I live in Nor-Cal and there's a lot of little breweries out here. The North Coast brewery makes some killer stuff too.

The ellusive beer that we don't get much of out here is Dogfish Ale from Deleware. That stuff is incredibly good!

Just had some Lost Coast Brown Ale from Eureka at the Happy Viking in Yuba City, not really my thing, tastes almost like they added some seltzer water to it, but finished it off with some Kona Brewing Pipeline Porter, which was alright with some coffee hints.

I like any of the Shiner beers, especially Shiner Blond.
I just got back from Buffalo and tried some Labate Blue and it was good.
I also brought home a sampler 6 pack from the Flying Bison Brewery. I haven't tried any yet but I will open 1 or 2 when I get home from work today.
Some others that are very tasty

Real Ale Brewing Company in Blanco, TX makes some really good beers. Standouts are:

    Rio Blanco Pale Ale
    Full Moon Pale Rye Ale

The Lobotomy Bock looks really good if only I could find it in TX!
