There's always talk between car and truck guys about who makes the best engine. Wether its a 427 or 305 small block, everyone has their favorite. At work today, we had this very discussion. So, TacomaWorld, let me ask you. What is your favorite engine you have ever driven and why?

My favorite engine would have to be the 383 Stroker. Had on in a 69 Camaro. Couldn't keep tires on that thing. SERIOUS power, and the sound couldn't be beat.

383 CID with 330 HP I had in a 66 Dodge Coronet in the past.
Right now I would say the Ford 5.0 Coyote V8 in the F150. Too bad the truck is just so big.

cars or trucks? or do bike engines count too?

If so, then the cbr1000rr I used to have made my testicles quiver every time I started it up. Hit 170mph (on a legal drag strip of course) and that was probably the scariest fun thing I have ever done.

As for cars, I drove a bentley GT one time (working valet, it belonged to one of the Detroit Pistons) I probably should have moved the seat forward because the power in that thing made me grip the steering wheel for dear life. haha.
