Just moved to Fort Worth and I'm DYING for a good show. I don't even care if it's a lousy cover band. Tell me there's a club here that puts something on.

    I still enjoy these bands:
    Minor Threat
    Crimpshrine
    Operation Ivy
    Descendents(old stuff)
    Fugazi

Back in the day I would listen to:

    Rudimentary Peni
    Crass
    Subhumans
    Germs

It's been so many years since my teen punk days...I can't remember them all

The Misfits (along with Doyle's solo stuff) is my absolute favorite followed by Minor Threat, Negative Approach, Black Flag, and the MC5. Oh and the Stooges!

Stooges, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Ultravox! (the original incarnation), Ian Dury & The Blockheads, etc.

Saw them all back in the day.

Also, once spent 3 hours on a plane seated next to Iggy.

It's funny because with what's left of the misfits now (jerry only) the new stuff sucks, but all of the other members side projects are good shit. Doyles stuff is awesome, daves stuff is awesome, Graves stuff is OK but better than what jerry is putting out. On a side note dave came through Baltimore not too long ago, he was awesome to meet, he enjoys meeting fans, he hung out for a while after his set and made sure he shook everyone's hand and let everyone get a picture who wanted one

ah, the memories this thread brings back. back in high school, a buddy of mine had a highly modified and fast Alfa Ramero we took to go up to the LA area,
which was ground zero for the west coast music scene in the mid to late seventies almost every other weekend. Patty Smith, the Romones at the Whiskey and a young Iggy Stooge at the Golden Bear in Hunington Beach, and the many collage clubs that i can't recall, were just some of the groups i remember, it was a great time to be in the middle of it all. But I always thought Johnny Rotten, Sid Vicious and co. were the real punk rockers.

Abominator has to be some of the best metal I have ever heard. #1 for lifting music haha. His second album "As We Die" is supposed to come out any day now, they just finished mixing it two weeks ago. Anyone check out Alex Story's Cancerslug? Cool 50's vibe, like a heavier version of The Cramps.

I forgot all about this thread, here's a pic from when the Warp Tour was still good around 2000 or 2001 in Philly. We had back stage passes and got on stage with Pennywise. Still one of my favorite bands.

I looked at Facebook and my feed was blowing up with shit about a reunion show with the original misfits, jerry, Danzig and doyle. I was excited until I saw ticket prices. Pre sale is $150 and they go up to $300. I like the band but but not for 3 bills. I guess Danzig needs more money for his premium size shmedium t shirts

I thought that in past interviews Danzig said he didn't want anything to do with the Misfits anymore.
