Definitely rock crawling when I had my better built 96. I enjoy just getting out on rough mixed terrain. I hate mud holes. Although they're fun at times, the cleanup and destruction they have on things just doesn't appeal to me. Being in PA, there's not much legal wheeling left, so I enjoy just exploring backroads, and combine it in with fishing.

Blasting across the desert and medium level rock stuff.

The super hard rock stuff is just not fun...too stressful.

Mudding is fun except for the clean up.

I will use it to pull the trailer with the ATV to the Trail Head and then use the CANAM for the really hard stuff.

I didn't see DESERT, BEACHES, or DUNES... to go along with STEEP GRADES requiring lockers or A-TRAC... all the main uses I have for 4WD in California and Baja California!

    Dunes:

(those are my tacks at 32 psi, making climb attempts, TRAC id H4 and A-TRAC in L4 both reached the highest point nearly the top)

    Desert:

Hill Climbing was the option I chose.

At heart I'm all for the trails both sand and dirt.

I've always wondered what going off the trail and into some bushy nowhere would be like. Major scratches I'm sure, but the ruggedness has got to feel great.

Dry dirt, gravel and nonjagged bedrock work for me. I'd do other stuff if I could but currently I'm on stock five lug suspension with an open diff. :( that's going to change next semester though

I'm an end destination type of guy. I want to make it to a certain fishing hole, hunting spot, mountain view, lake, etc. I love it when my vehicle takes me there. My truck is brand new and so haven't taken it off road yet.

I do still own an older '97 4Runner that has been terrific in getting me places. Last year I read of a lake that is in the high Uinta Mountains of Utah 1 1/2 hours from home and loaded with arctic graylings. People on forums said that you have to hike in 6 miles and stay overnight. Screw that! I google-earthed the lake and saw that maybe I could 4wheel to within a half mile if i followed a certain path. I put the coordinates in my GPS, threw in a lunch, flyrod, 44 mag revolver (for woodland creature protection) and off I went. I made it, caught my first ever grayling X2, and got back home in one day.

    That's why I love 4-Wheeling.
