I used chemical guys clean slate but I would imagine any quality degreasing soap would work.

Put a coat of Meguiar's Ultimate liquid wax on her 2 and a half weeks ago. I was bored. I usually put McKee's 37 Hydro Blue Si02 on it while I'm at the carwash.

Just tried Car Guys Premium Liquid Wax after using a clay bar. I was very happy with it. I use Meguiars Ultimate typically.

Griot's Garage 3in1 ceramic wax. it is the REAL DEAL. has held up to washings, unlike the meguires, and turtlewax hybrid offerings. also a shit ton better than the facebook F11, and Torque CRAP!
your results may vary but, i like the Griots A LOT!

This is what I keep seeing over and over of the auto parts and big box store available sealants. The Megs one seems best as a topper or repeated application than standalone and the new Turtlewax offerings don't seem to be better than their ICE line Seal and Shine and the spray wax.

Meguiars might make some fine products in their "Detailer" line but Griots seems to be the best all around go to in the local stores.

I came across a YouTube video the other comparing F11, Torque, Shine Armour, and another sealant. You are correct those products are overpriced garbage. Don’t know why anyone would spend that much on them. It’s expected given how much shit I have taken on here for “boutique products”.

3 in lift and a lot of wax, but never enough to prevent people from hitting my car :(
I’m using groits 3 in 1, works pretty well and smells nice... when it rains it’s super beaded. I’ve tried miguires and stuff but doesn’t really work well.

I've been a Big fan of Mothers wax for years, on to Meguiars, then back to Mothers...then I tried TurtleWax sealant "https://usstore.turtlewax.com/collections/exterior/sealant" and was blown away. It's cheap, easy to apply and lasts for 3-4 months. It makes the paint soo slick, that I now always wear gloves cause it can't be good for your skin. This worked so well that I tried Meguiars and wasn't impressed at all. https://www.meguiars.com/automotive...easy-use-ceramic-wax-protection-g190526-26-oz

Looking to try Mothers version next.

Currently, I am using Turtle Wax T-3KT. It is is included as a pre-wax cleaner, carnauba wax, spray detailer, and applicator pads. This pre-wax cleaner is removes scratches and swirl marks. And, the carnauba wax presents a deep and glossy shine and true black color. The wax works for minimum 3 months.

Lake Country is a popular brand. Not much to gain by buffing wax in. I would not use one of those on a drill as you increase risk of burning paint. Always better to have the proper tool for the job.
