Only once, a good healthy pour from a friend’s bottle. I’d never been a WT fan because I’d never tried it, can’t give you a rational explanation. The lizard part of my brain said “you can’t drink a turkey”. But the more developed part responded, “but you can drink a Buffalo? Or a thoroughfare made by a Buffalo?” Truth be told @jandrews kept talking up the WT products, so I tried Rare Breed, loved it, bought a bottle of Russell’s SB, loved it even more, saw the 10 year at the friend’s house one day, enjoyed that too, but it was too far from the last pour I’d had of the Russell’s to properly compare. The very last one I tried was actually 101, which was completely enjoyable at the price point.

Ha! Thoroughfare made by a Buffalo. Love it. Totally get it though. There’s no rationalizing anything when it comes to bourbon.

Similar boat with me and WT. I drank the og 81 at tailgates back in college. Hokies drink Turkey, uhhhh sure. Never touched WT again until years later when I tried RR10. That bottle alone got me back into the WT lineup, and damn is it good.

Of course I did, pretty sure I opened it the day I got it…it’s fantastic, just a solid representation of classic bourbon.

I gotta say tho, the single barrel selects are the home run of the Russels family. They run about 60-70 and are 110 proof. I cannot pass them up when I find them

First time I've seen Buffalo Trace in my local ABC stores in 11 months! Unfortunately, I was limited to one.

not sure if PA will get it, also not sure it’s worth the price….if I see it at retail I’ll probably bite the bullet, but I won’t be upset to not get it

Live in Buffalo, Hunkered down for this snow, let’s drink….

Nulu is delicious to me, first time having it, the palate is nice and sweet brown sugar oakiness, finish slowly comes in bitter with baking spices…

I went on a run to see if our county got an allocation. No such luck here. Even worse, the JD SBBP that was readily available two weeks ago has all disappeared. Hope they get some more in. Settled for a Widow Jane, I’ve been out for a while.

Yeah it’s such a bummer, us Bills fans only get 9-10 home games a year, they’re like holidays for us, and we got one taken away
