First time seeing one of these in a few years. Blanton's SFTB in my glass tonight, gotta kill this horsey before Christmas.

Larceny BP is excellent...light years ahead of the standard small batch. Enjoy!

I enjoyed the first few batches of the BP. Tastes like frosted mini wheat cereal to me.

That's a tasty bottle. It's been a while since I had JW Blue, but I've mulled over picking up many times. It is pricey...

$200 our the door at Costco, so like 30% off. But yeah, I’ve never had a bottle, just been treated a few times in a bar, I do love it

Had to work late last night (website update for a major roadside assistance company so we don’t start until site traffic dies down at 2200). I killed a bottle first and the Tiny Belligerent Tyrant killed his shortly after.

Showed this post to my wife:

Me: (chuckle), look at this, you’ll appreciate it.

Her: Tiny Belligerent Tyrant, what’s that?

Me: [scrolling down to second photo]

    Her: Oh. Yes. Exactly.

    ———-

My recommendation is to switch the recipients of the two bottles next time around for better outcome…

The only saving grace they have is that they're immensely cute.

Look at animals with ugly babies. Hamsters, for example. You know how from time to time a hamster mom is like "Fuck this" and just eats all the babies because she's had it with their shit?

    Not cute enough.

If you own a farm (or a distillery), they’re also “future labor”. That’s a strong positive.

Anyone in Atlanta? Passing this along from another forum I’m on:

Metro ATL, Toco Giant, 29 cases of Old Forester SiB.

That’s all the info I have.

If anyone goes and picks some up…I would LOVE to have one.

I went to Southern Grace Distillery in my hometown of Mt. Pleasant, NC today for the first time.

This was an old prison that was closed down by the state and sat abandoned for many years until the distillery opened. It’s still pretty new, oldest bourbon I found for sale was 4 years old but they’re not sourcing.

The cells have been cleared out and that serves as the rickhouse. I had an old fashioned and bought a glass. Most of their whiskey was two years old and it just needs more time. I did get a kick out of the barrels aging in the prison showers, last picture.

Interesting that the still manufacturing company misspelled their own name on the ID plate…

Holy shit…Ive been through some portions of Appalachia where it wouldn’t surprise me a bit if they have better still manufacturing skills than literary skills. That’s too funny.

What number key? I have #5. I’d like to collect all 5 from TW, and like I said a while back, have a TW glass engraved at S-W that whoever contributed keys can pass around as a tradition. I wonder if we could set it up so whoever can get to the distillery first can pick it up.
