I just had to check the recent one, tons of air got trapped in the process.

Ya'll know they make ice trays right? Or even better, my fridge just makes its own cubes in a little dispenser.

The way it works with the Yeti (or any insulated tumbler, cooler, etc.) method is by directional freezing. It freezes only from one direction (the open top), rather than from all sides like in a normal ice tray. It freezes from the top to the bottom and "pushes" the air bubbles & contaminants to the bottom of the tumbler/cooler.
    upload_2023-3-22_15-1-3.jpg

Something is wrong in the process. What kinda mug are you using? And for how long are you freezing it? It only takes about 12 hours MAX for me to get a big tumbler worth of clear ice. Don't let it freeze all the way to the bottom. It usually only takes about 8 hours and I'll get about a 4" tall section of clear ice. It should leave water at the bottom like is shown in the pic above.

I’ll use these for company for the oohs and aahs. When I’m sitting around by myself slugging Old Tub I’ll use the fridge ice, “peasant cubes” as we in the clear ice community refer to them.

I have an RR SiB open right now and its so criminally good for $60 Im worried I'll not get another like it and am going through it slowly.

I also have a 101 Rye and Rare Breed Rye open right now, which are both far too good for their price.

I am continually amazed at the consistent quality level WT produces.

I would love my county (state controlled here) to do a RR store pick.

I’ve never had the Peerless Rye but the bourbon is very good, albeit pricey. New rye product to be released soon.

I almost bought a bottle of Chatt's Cask 111 yesterday while out looking for the JD 12-year-old, but I managed to stay on task.
