First pour, pretty dang good. Hype worthy? We’ll see, I’m looking forward to spending some more time with it. It’s weird to describe, but some bourbons have a great mouth feel. The way this coats the mouth is great. Cheers.

 

That struck me the first time too. Huge part of the appeal.

Found a SW Rye a few days ago. Didn’t pull the trigger. Wasn’t sure about what’s behind it. Seemed pricey as well. Maybe I’ll see if they still have it.

Awesome, that’s the price they should be. Sad that some people on here try to suck them all up and try to ask double and triple that price just to make a profit so no one else can enjoy it. You know who you are

Mostly the 2ndary or private liquor stores . I haven’t seen anyone selling personally..on here?

So now I don’t know what to do with this unopened bottle I have Maybe it’ll be incredible. Maybe I should trade it.

Who are these people on TW selling bottles of Blanton’s for triple what they paid? Never seen that here.

Also, think about what it means when you say “that’s the price they should be”. There’s a price you’d like it to be, and then there’s a fair market price established by scarcity and high demand. The solution is to go drink a better tasting bourbon that costs less and is on the shelf, and feel sorry for the people out there who value Blanton’s at $200. It’s their fault the secondary price is that high, not the sellers. Are you equally annoyed with all the liquor store owners selling it for the same high price? They paid even less than $65 for theirs, probably.

 

I haven’t seen that on here….I can get Blantons regularly and always offer it up at retail, but it’s 72 after tax and then shipping it’s not really worth it.

Girlfriend flew in this morning and it's such a nice day we decided to pop into jersey to do some hunting. Found some really good store picks we got to sample first and then some other stuff we can't get in PA. Benchmark FP I picked up in Indiana earlier this week, never had any of the benchmarks but for the price and the reviews I thought why not try them.
