Been holding this one to crack with a buddy. Two week countdown. Anyone have any experience with it?

All this Weller grocery store madness had me out looking around here….just in case - but nothing.

I did pick up a few bottles that I have not seen here though - the HH BiB and JD SBBP Rye. Thought I’d give those a try. The Old Emmer bottle was a gift from my buddy for helping him move into his new house. See how that one comes out.

Closest I’ve come is the 11 year wheat, which was excellent but it’s a different animal.

I have a bottle I’ve been holding off on opening too. I wanted to try before opening, but I don’t know anyone else that has one.
Let us know what you think when it’s time!

What’s your biggest bourbon regret, as in, a bottle you passed up that you wish you’d bought?

WLW maybe 7-8 years ago 500.00. At that point I don’t think I’d had purchased a bottle over 100.00. What’s yours??

    Beamtober just hit.

Booker's 3-23 and Hardins Creek Frankfort today.

I also recently gave in and tried Barrell Seagrass. I liked it so much I backed up the regular bottle and bought a grey-label of it to bunker for a special occasion one day.

Old Carter last year for $150.

And an older Rebel 10 I found in Reno for $50. I knew it was a steal and still passed.

Rather than dropping the coin on the 8yr Willet…..I upgraded my home theater center channel with this :) and actually saved a few bucks too!

I cracked the Old Emmer tonight. It reminds me of Weller Full Proof, which I’ve had only once and it was a few weeks ago. But has the cherry forward profile with brown sugar, but a bit more spice or heat…. Need to let it sit a bit and open up, but not a bad first pour. If someone has a Weller FP, would be curious to hear someone’s thoughts on a side by side, or blind on these two.

What year Old Fitz and what was the price?

    Wise choice.

Even so $400 is an awful lot to pay for a bottle of bourbon.

Passed up a Michter's barrel proof rye for $115 earlier this year, tried it a couple months later and oof. Big mistake to pass on it.
