I got in line at 7:00am, got a Parker’s Heritage Rye, then drove to the next closest store and got a Blantons.
3 hours actually went by pretty quickly chatting with people. Also had a friend with me so it was not bad waiting.
Over night is a little excessive for what was available haha

I understand getting there an hour or two early, but not the overnight campers. That’s 12-14 hours to spend $200 on a bottle worth $600 on secondary. I have trouble believing anyone in line that long isn’t unemployed and planning to flip the bottle immediately. Basically paying themselves $30 an hour to sit there and piss in a Gatorade bottle.

    In kentucky it’s worse
    Allocated never touches the shelf
Straight out of the box and basically into someone’s car
Unless you go to the few Liqour barn raffles or you wanna pay secondary on shelf at the boutique places
And the distilleries all have a bottle limit per year tied to your drivers license

Haven’t done any Kentucky bourbon tourism myself, but multiple people I know who’ve been recently sent me photos of stupid prices, all high secondary. Reminds me of Myrtle Beach in the summer.

What a good wrap up to vacation. Guess I'm going to have to go to another state to get Jack 10. It never made it to the SE stores. If it did I missed it.

You ever transported 100+ bottles over state lines?
    There’s some laws about it

The valuation was pretty high on the total collection
    But like I said
They wanted me to hand deliver and I’m not looking for any fuzz, the other option is private currier but that’s not cheap and you have to consider valuation does not guarantee anything at auction

maybe I’ll just help some folks in here round out there collections
Y’all can tell your wives it was an early gift to yourself

I tried it once while living in Germany. Wasn't a big fan of it then. Maybe I should give it another shot.

Hit me in the DM’s with your top dollar on anything you need by name and I’ll get back to you.
I don’t have any Weller single barrel anymore tho

only if you’re in a state where shipping and such is legal

Here is the To Long Didn’t Read version of how the bourbon collection came to be and why it’s gotta go

if you think the story is interesting and I get enough comments I’ll give a longer in depth with pictures story

The bourbon in my collection was all purchased as a part of my veteran non profit where we were taking veterans off-road and Camping in order to give them a outlet and opportunity to discuss their problems and struggles
The bourbon was a way of facilitating a more relaxed environment and something to get everyone excited.

the non profit went dead during Covid after a company was paid 10k for a roll cage and proceeded to (to make a long story short) leave us high and dry and without the money or a useable cage.

the purpose of selling the bourbon is with the hopes of restarting my nonprofit and getting my Tacoma finished
