I picked up the SiB from lottery earlier this year. Haven’t opened it, as I’m hopeful to complete the set in time, or come close. I Tried both CYBP and FP on vacation in Kauai and preferred the FP, enjoyed the flavor the proof provided.

But thanks for your reply! I guess putting it out there is the thing to do.

And thank you as well @ramonortiz55 - appreciate it!

If I had a SiB I’d probably sell it….draws the highest secondary and most reviews are terrible. CYPB and FP are tops, but the 107 is sneaky good

I was recently in a position to pick any Weller I wanted among everything but A107 and SR. $50 regardless. So obviously I had to pause and decide if I wanted CYBPB or SiB. Not that hard of a decision because I planned to drink it not sell it, but it there was a little sigh in my heart as I walked out on a $50 SiB.

The G4 is harder to get than the M10. Hear both are superb

i think the whiskey bubble will pop soon. its just getting ridiculous.

some of this stuff getting touted as great pours & super expensive? is stuff we wouldnt use for toilet water growing up.

my young guys at work were super into it & talking about all the layers of taste & front mouth flavor, mid, back of mouth, throat layer & secondary breathing .......

always told them it was horse crap. its alcohol. it either tastes good or it doesnt. & i do like a good booze.

enjoy for me. our house is empty again except for her shitty wine stuff.

I received an E-mail from Va A.B.C. I won the opportunity to buy a bottle of Blanton's Gold in this months lottery. Anyone who live in Va can tell you just seeing a bottle of Blanton's is rare never mind Blanton's gold.

I came across a Michter’s 10 a month ago and read a bunch of reviews while considering it. Passed.

Regular Blanton’s is ok, certainly not worth all the hoopla. The gold is excellent. Can’t wait to try the SFTB.

It’s not gonna pop any time soon. The number of people hunting grows by the day.

not sure pop is the right term, but prices are starting to level out, secondary is dropping almost across the board and SRP going up, should be interesting

I’m predicting high west done effed themself good this year on MWND. Ridiculous numbers of bottles and a price increase, if it’s the same low quality as last year they are in trouble

    You think?

Because most of the people I encounter that are hype shopping are after labels, not whiskey. The number of people I overhear in the stores asking about Buffalo Rare and completely unwilling to entertain any other brands is nutso.

my guys from work have a little group now they do... 3 of them go in on each bottle & they split it up.... then they were forcing me to taste test with them from there.

love good booze. just dont have the taste buds for all that fancy nonsense, so i usually just pass now days as my alcohol has to be severely limited with the health issues..

but every now & then a few good shots of something is still a treat! :)

It's just a younger version of Eagle Times.

this stuff is great, read the back of the bottle if you haven’t.
Final ward is the whiskey cocktail with the yellow version of this if I recall correctly.
Then of course the last word, using this and gin, also good with mezcal instead of gin.

Not my favorites, but for retail couldn’t pass them up.

I've been seeing these alot out here. The cheapest blantons I've seen is 80$ and the most 150$. Eagle I've seen for 100$. I pass on the eagle cause it's 100$ and I can easily find it on post in Washington for 32$

Blantons for 80 is a deal.
Eagle rare for 100 is extremely high but I think that’s where the price of that bottle is going unfortunately. It’s a great bottle for $40 or less. It’s already allotment only in some places. Seen it as cheap as $23 though, VA I think.
