Love the thinking. I’m assuming we’re talking about easy to acquire sippers and pretending bottles are as easy/hard to come by in the future as they are currently. In that case I’d probably say:

RR10/SiB - So delicious for the price. I buy RR10 every month or two. Perfect for sharing or keeping to yourself. If they sold the SiB in PA I’d be grabbing that just as often if not more.

KC12 - Can’t get enough of it at the moment.

Hard to pick a 3rd but probably a high proofer for when I’m in the mood. Maybe a Rebel Cask Strength or Larceny BP?

Ask me again in a year and this list might be different, maybe not.

    WT101 is undefeated.

    Tasty enough to sip neat.
Cheap enough for cocktails or gifting.
    Proofy enough for experienced palates.
Low proof enough for first timers.

    Available wherever whiskey is sold.

    Hail to the king.

Fun thought experiment, and I agree with 1 and 2 but can’t find 1 regularly so I can’t use Michter’s Sour Mash.

Next up on the bottle kill is a mostly empty Old Tub BiB whose cork broke sometime last year and was put in the back of the cabinet. Nothing a corkscrew couldn’t take care of.

Hadn’t had this in a good long while, this stuff is sneaky good for a $20 bottle.

Thank you! That seems more reasonable. Is that a publicly accessible auction site?

yup, unicorn auctions, it’s a good resource to check on closed prices. With that said I feel the more recent auctions are higher than secondary.

Supposedly that toast is popular and hard to find. Would love to hear your thoughts once you try it, I’ve never had a sip of Basil anything.

The Basil malted rye is a little sweet at first with a little spice at the end. Tomorrow will be the toast so I'll post on Sunday. We plan to go through the bottle.
