Favorite Whiskey?

Headed to Perris, CA next month for work. If anybody is in SOCAL and knows of a decent store for an outta-towner to hit for decently-priced bourbon let me know.

 

You had me at hazmat. I just checked out their site and the Rum, maple barrel finish looks interesting.

 

I know where you can get SFTB for like $600, maybe $500 with the friends and family discount.

 

You could hit Mr High times or whatever that place is that’s in chino hills

Made a stop at TW today…

Midwinter’s Night Dram - $200….man - i even asked why are some bottles jacked up over MSRP and most bottles aren’t. Haha. Brought up a laugh from the lady and she said no way it’s worth $200.

Saw a few other fun bottles but nothing I walked out with. Remus Gatsby and Special Reserve, some of the Barrel Bourbon bottles mentioned above. Wanted to grab the cheaper Sea Grass bottle, but not sure if that’s available any longer or if they just don’t have it at the moment.

See what next weeks’ visit brings. Still waiting for them to get ECBP Batch C to complete the set.

Alright my whiskey dudes and dudettes, I mentioned wanting to trade this purple top. Here’s a few bottles I’m looking for, if it’s not an exact straight trade still let me know. I may have something else to throw in. Looking for EHTBP, EHT Straight Rye, Weller FP, Stagg (Jr), Blanton’s SFTB or Gold. Thanks!

A reach around in exchange for one of those antiques?

 

Well, might as well crack one. Happy Weller Wednesday.

 

I’ll say! Out of everything in my shelf, the Antique 107 is my favorite and it’s not close.

 

Wife and I are sitting here doing a side by side A107/FP. We both really like the 107 but the FP has the edge. Bottle is also about 2/3 gone and has only gotten better as we go. Currently smells like straight butterscotch.

 

I haven’t had the FP but I’m hoping to change that on my trip out west soon.

 

You had 12 year yet?

 

Not bad but I don't think I'll buy another bottle.

 

There was more left in there than I thought. Happy Whoops Wednesday.
