    I guess it depends on where you live. Being in central/north California I'm surrounded in every direction by local/small wineries that are awesome. We've joined the "winery club" at one vineyard that is so popular they only sell their wine at the winery, and it sells out.

    I don't like the jdsbbs/single malt release but if you open the bottle and leave it stored for a month they definitely get so much better. I really like the jdsbbs/ single malts now after a couple of months. The jdsbbs rye is the opposite it got worst the longer it sits. The twice barrel this year is horrible when you initially open it but now it's wonderful. I don't understand all this science stuff but usually whiskey gets a lot better after it's open for a period of time if you didn't like it on the first pour.
