I think it's just this years release but I'm not sure. Mine is the same proof.

I have seen these…in at least fifteen different stores, in plenty of quantity. Apparently they sell though.

Found this in my mom’s garage today. 6 half-gallons of Jim Beam. I’m thinking it’s about 25 years old. Wondering if anyone has experience with mid-shelf bourbon that’s very old? Any worries about drinking it?

 

No. There is no concern about drinking it though it might not be that great. I’m sure you know but “aging” is only done in the barrel. After it’s bottled it’s just getting old. TBH it might be fun to blind a new bottle with one of these, just to see how it compares.

 

we got a bottle of sheep dog the other nite cause they were out of skrewball....

its not quite as tasty as the skrewball, but it wasnt bad at all. had that with grape soda chasers as the jelly. nothing like drinking PBJ's!

 

I mean, certainly no more concern than drinking it freshly bottled.

Ethanol is carcinogenic as hell, but I assume if you're here you're already onboard with that.

 

Well hold on there…. 25 years ago there may have been less warning labels on a bottle so maybe…. It’s safer?
