I know you weren’t asking me but I love that C923. My local had three bottles of it. I bought one, went home and tried it, stopped by the next day and bought the other two. If you see one I would pick it up.

I’ve yet to see the C923 here in NM. The first two were easy to pickup, crazy how this third bottle not so. I haven’t opened the A and B as well as a barrel pick bottle I picked up. Was hoping to get all three prior to opening. Maybe it will show up still.

Russel 10 is very good like others said, I also enjoy Bulleit 10 as well. I love Eagle Rare but its as hard to find as Buffalo Trace.

You do not need to spend a ton to get a good bourbon.

It does make a great old fashioned though, but can’t stand it straight.

Tasty pour. It’s amazing how a month of not drinking changes your taste buds. Flavors and notes seem a bit more pronounced. Cheers.

I've yet to try any Penelope. It seems to get good reviews, how do you like it?

Got this from todays drop. My choice was between this, Willett 8 year Wheated, Mitchers Toased Rye, and another Weller FP. I would have gone with the Toasted Rye had @JoeySauce not hooked me up. IMG_0317.jpg

It’s very good, and I don’t understand why it doesn’t get rave reviews. I typically pick up vanilla, cinnamon, and a sweet oakiness that could be a touch maple syrup or even on the apple pie side. If you’ve ever had and enjoyed Maker’s 46 or a Maker’s Private Select that’s got a high quantity of French Oak staves, you’ll like the Architect.

I'll try it on your recommendation. Any specific offering? I do love makers generally, especially some of the store picks. The makers I posted last night is gonna be hard to finish. It has too much oak and not enough age if that makes sense.

Oh I was specifically talking about the Architect, the one in my photo. Only other one I’ve had is the Barrel Strength and it was overwhelmingly hot for me. I’ve heard really good things about some of their limited stuff like Rio but never seen it in the wild.
