Their best offering is their wheated, which is very good. For me the straight bourbon is fine but yeah nothing special. Do not buy the rye under any circumstances. Worst bourbon I’ve ever had aside from the American Single Malt that tasted like copper pennies and every herb ever grown all at once.

I'm not generally a rye drinker anyway, but that sounds awful , I kinda bought this on a whim. Once I got home and did a little reading, I probably should have waited to find the wheated. Something to look for next time!

That was the worst bottle of whiskey I have ever had. It might have have been the wheated I had but I think something was wrong with my bottle. Gave it to some other people to try , some of which had it before, and they also thought something was wrong with my bottle. I was never willing to try it again.

    Well damn that's absolutely delicious...

I might have to stop at total wine and see if they have any more.

I picked up a few things from the class-6 yesterday. I tried the Larceny last night. It was pretty good for $26. I’ll try the Scotch tonight. I have to go to FWB later so I will see what I can find in town.

I had a pretty successful day hunting around FWB. I saw plenty of overpriced liquor, but I also found quite a few good bottles including several store picks for at or near MSRP. It’s going to take me some time to get through these bottles. Which is good because I’ve blown my budget for the next couple of months.:anonymous:

    IMG_4486.jpg
The Glenmorangie and the Larceny were from the class-6 this weekend. The rest were from five different stores around FWB and one in Niceville.

That’s far from a normal Rye since it’s finished in port barrels. I wouldn’t expect any Rye to be similar to this one.

This is my first bottle from them. Smooth and tasty. Not hot or spicy. My 23 year old son and I am both a fan.

How did I miss this thread. My whiskey hat tips to you OP.

I've always been a whiskey man, but some scotches served in a warm watered glass have found their way in to my collection. I love my Jamison, but I ran across a 20yr old Pendelton that is hands down a favorite. I have some some Bourbon, Scotch, Whiskey, and an old Turkey that's been in the family for a while. Also a beer I am drinking now. Cheers!
