If I had to pick a pour out of that line up it’s 10000% the MM Cellar aged because as hard as I looked I never even saw a bottle. Had most of the other ones up there. I actually REALLY like that Calumet 16, which reminds me I should buy another bottle of that soon. Nice collection!!

Now I feel like I need to explore MM more, what I've had I haven't been terribly in love with...

 

I mean if wheaters aren’t your thing I can see that. But since you like Weller I’m guessing that’s not the case. I really like most Maker’s, and I can’t say I like the cellar aged…. But man I can’t tell you what I’d do for a bottle to find out lol.

 

My wife and I were getting some sushi for lunch yesterday and the place had a surprisingly good selection of bourbon. So I asked the price of Weller Full Proof…..$55 (was a store pick at least). Nah, I’ll pass. Also, I think they were only doing 1oz pours….

After we left there, we stumbled into a bar that had one other patron in it. I was thinking dang, this place must be no good….Buuuutttt they had a pretty solid selection of bourbon, so we took a seat at the bar.

I asked the price of Weller A107 and Weller Full Proof. Bartender says $19 & $22 respectively for 1.5oz pour. Said okay great, we will take one of each. We’re sitting there sippin and all is good. Then I notice on the top shelf, they got some George T. Stagg. So just for shits and gigs I ask, hey what’s the price on that George T. Stagg? She’s like lemme check, but I think it’s $23….other guy at the bar says no way it’s only $23, and I agree yeah, there’s no way, but if it is, I’ll take it! She checks, then turns around and says yeah I was wrong, it’s $22!!!! I said please pour it up before you change your mind! Other guy says yep, I’ll take one too for that price.

It was literally cheaper than a pour of Blanton’s and same price as Weller Full Proof!!!! I’m still in shock lol. Bartender said, “yeah I’ve told my boss we were way under charging for some of these….Oh, and by the way, happy hour our drinks are half off….”

So yeah, my first time drinking GTS and now I’m ruined. It was so delicious. The nose was like a bag of brown sugar. The taste wasn’t far from the nose. By far the best I’ve ever had.

She had already put the bottle back on the top shelf before I could get the batch details and I didn’t wanna ask her to get it back down lol. So that will be my excuse to return and try to finish off the bottle.

 

Love hearing stories like this. You should just buy the remainder of the bottle and take it home at that price
