Japan you have Blantons, WT12, WT13, Evan Williams 12, and some unusual Ezra Brooks releases usually easily available on the shelf.

 

Sweet. I knew about the W12, but not the W13. I'll have him look for those. Do they have Blantons SFTB over there?

 

They do, not sure what pricing would be like.

Prioritize WT12. It's 101 proof. The 13 year is 91 proof, but still a cool collector piece.

 

Looks like I'm headed to Ocala, FL next week for work. Any bourbons readily available down there that may be hard to find in other places? Nothing crazy like Pappy.

Alright, had another pour last night and although it’s good, I don’t honestly notice a huge difference from the std and at twice the price will not grab another. Different palates May vary as well as the bottle the higher aged being single barrel

I’ve never been able to pick up a FR pick like this, not sure if this is one of the highly sought after recipes, but it was the last one on the shelf. Will most likely crack this open tonight or tomorrow, as I’m looking forward to this one. Also saw Traveler for the first time today, big ol display as you walk into TW but I passed on it. Perhaps another time.

 

I like 4 roses, not sure if i've had that specific one or not but i'm sure i would like it.

 

I have one of these but not cracked. This is the rich fruit and high rye combo. So in theory it sounds excellent from my perspective — a rich fruit flavor with the baking spices from rye? Hell yes.

 

Far as I'm concerned they're all highly sought after recipes.
