I have a honey cask finished bourbon I like very much. Then Barrell Seagrass, which I'm a huge fan of. Jo Magnus Triple Cask and Cigar Blend I endorse.

Then you have MWND, which I find to be *very* Port, this Rio, High n Wicked Jury which is Madeira finished Dickel, High West's Cabernet finished thing...all middle of the road at best by my gauge.

I'd pass on a bottle, because I think Seagrass does what this is trying to do in a much more balanced, elegant fashion. But that's me.

Mai Tai bourbon sounds…..gross? Like you said, such a hit or miss with anything finished. What I’ve had from Penelope like the Rose and Tokaji have been decent, so the Rio definitely piqued my interest. Speaking of, think it’s time for a pour.

This fucking stopper is more annoying than Taylor Swift at a NFL game. Cheers

Anyone of thoughts on the Widow Jane 13yr? I found a few bottles at TW, but I couldn’t pull the trigger on the price point of $130. I made a pact that I wouldn’t do that again this year, spending that kind of money on a bottle I dont have good info on.

So, thought I’d ask here. I can go back and try to grab one. They also had the decadence, but that I do remember people saying it’s over mapled on the finish and I don’t care for maple like that.

And I forgot my photo of my fRYEday pour of the Seagrass!

I have one open. Good, but 100 is pushing it. Get a Knob Creek 12 for 30 bucks less instead IMO.

Thank you! I was talking to one of the guys I’ve gotten to know at TW and said the same thing. Thought the 12yr KC for $65 or even 10yr RR for $45. I even the TW guy, who hasn’t tried this 13yr WJ said he wouldn’t pay double the price for a 10yr Widow Jane.

This is why I enjoy the peeps in this thread! Help me spend and not spend on bourbon!

I enjoy that pour! I’ve had three different fRYEday bottles tonight, but didn’t’ grab this one! I really enjoy it!
