Also this BBC Discovery 11 is *totally* sourced Turkey. I'd know that palate anywhere.

I may well go back an get another.

I held that bottle the other evening and didn’t know what to think about it. Thanks for the info on it, I’ll have to snag it.

Tonight’s goal was to crack open a fresh bottle. Tomorrow’s goal is a bottle kill lol. Cheers

The Discovery 11 is very good. I did a blind with RR13 and disco 11, I did like RR13 more but not by much. The 11 is definitely sourced Turkey

RR13 is the most underperforming allocated bourbon on earth.

I went into their store while in Louisville and they were very honest about sourcing their barrels but wouldn't say from who. With a wink, he said google is your friend as they show the mash bill. The day I was in there was the day of their first major release, selling over 100 bottles in a few hours.

    doesn't tickle my fancy either.
Blinded it once with stagg, once with other Russell's juice. RR13 was bottom for both

I have found it to be excellent both times I've had, but the same goes for RR SiBs, which at times have been better and can be walked home for MSRP in the $60s any day of the week.

So I don't really pursue it. If I trip on it at a good price one day, great, but if not...meh.

I’ve had a few different RR SiB, they’ve all been great. I’ve had pours from two different RR13 batches, they were both the same. Boring and unremarkable. Huge disappointment. I immediately traded my bottle away.

Some good scores for the wife and I out of town today.

Got to try the single oak project last night, it was delicious. The OF was not.

Any of the regulars in here in the Denver area want these bottles? Moving and I don't want to take these with me, not my cup of tea. Free. IMG_0923.jpg

Yup lol. That Rowan's Creek is pretty similar to the Willett as well.

That’s what I was referring to, it’s a Willett product and both of those bottles have poor reputations. I have a Rowan’s Creek too that I wish I could go back in time and not buy.
