You’re right on all accounts. I guess I’ll see if the juice was worth the squeeze with this endeavor lol.

Happy Fryeday. I heard somewhere that today is national bourbon day. I’ll have to have a follow up pour. Cheers

I've read several reviews that the first few batches were dumpster fires. Due to the bad rep, my LBS had batch 5 on sale for $30. If I was blind tasting, I'd say it's close to Old Forester 1920. It's a bit rough with the proof, denoting a younger age. Heavy on the corn, with some lingering follow through that tastes a bit like rye, possibly a blend with a high rye bourbon. It's not terrible, I wouldn't dump it, but I also won't rush out to buy another. Closest I can call it, is maybe a high corn mash bill BiB, though it's 106 proof. I'll check on some of the later batches, because I do believe with more age and flavor profiling, it'll be a good deal. For now, the MSRP of $79.95 is off base. Honestly...she should have stayed with Old Forester, and worked out a share equity deal. Just look at 1924, based on reputation alone is batting above its weight. Same deal, 1924, compared to others is ......mehhhh, overpriced for what it is. It's good, but it's not award worthy.

S0 damned full of win!!!!!!!! I have a stupid sized collection, and I crack them all, not a single unopened bottle. I just keep going back to EH Taylor. It's really a damned good pour. Even entry level is excellent, really, it's great!

I've got a bottle of Buffalo Trace I bought a couple of months ago at Costco that I have been saving for an upcoming RV trip. Heading out to RV camps with 30 neighborhood characters. Ladies too.
I've been on a wife imposed diet for the last couple of weeks. Wife asked me today, are you going to drink on this trip? I responded "Hell Yes!" In the spirit of her efforts, I'll start with Michelob Ultra Light and work my way up to Buffalo Trace.

Picked up a slam dunk yesterday, tbh because my wife has always wanted one! We visited MM a few years ago and dipped our own but the wax was only about 2” deep so we didn’t get much, this one is much deeper. Seems these have appeared a little more regularly lately for some reason.
