Favorite Whiskey?

Got this one to leave a little bit of California with my son in Texas. Had to get a sip first.

Macallan 18...The damn stuff was always expensive but now it has appreciated like a stock almost. I try to buy one bottle each year during the holiday season and savor it..

 

Some good summer sippers, one for a friend at work, one for me.

 

I picked this up this past weekend in Orlando. I’m enjoying the heck out of it. Cheers.

 

A nice mail call today, some of these were retail, some were below retail.

Two tier 6 and one tier 5 four roses BS picks. I’m a definite believer in the high tiers now.

 

What would yall pick out from here?

 

All of the Buffalo Trace. That's a good price too. You can't get it in MN and if you do it's $40-50/bottle. If I could only have one whiskey, that would probably be it.

Yep, a BT for the reasons noted above. And a Rare Breed, good price.

Crazy that with those prices the Blanton's is $150, that’s dumb.

 

Rare Breed

 

My current stash. My favorite to sip are Blantons, Weller Red and Eagle Rare but I generally only drink bourbon when it’s cold outside

 

Depending on your budget, my choice would be the Rare Breed. That is about $15 cheaper than I can normally find it.

$150 for the Blantons is what most places around me are asking.

Finally bought a bottle. I know it’s been out for a good while. A little proof forward….but once you get past it, the oak tannins, roasted peanut, pepper, maybe even some fig. I do like it. I don’t think I’ll rave about it, but would buy another bottle to keep on the shelf when I blow through this one

I drive by that place very often since I go to Reynosa 1-4 times a week. Since Im trying to fill up my “budget friendly infinity bottle” I got the top right JD, but my next 2 will be the Buffalo trace and the Rare Breed.
