Finally found a JDSBBP, even though it was a 375. Cracked it tonight, being my first barrel proof, and man this is tasty.

That's a rough price for the JDSBBP if you're near the actual distillery, I was able to pick it up for $50.

I visited my open bottle of Holladay 6y BiB SRW tonight. I remain pleasantly surprised how good it is.

I’m no where close to the distillery, but picked this one up for $35 before tax from a Total Wine. I’m in WA for reference.

    Okay so my friend and I did a 4R lineup with this bottle, 2023, 2022, 2021, and 2024 father's day OESV 65.9%.

#1. 2024 father's day (unanimous but very close between this and 2013 LE)

    #2. 2013 LE

    #3. 2023 LE

    #4. 2021 LE

    #5. 2022 LE

For the both of us, #1 and #2 are a cut above the others, 3-5 are all close enough but all very good bottles. Buddy had 2022 > 2023 > 2021

Father's Day was my most anticipated pour and it delivered. Does not drink like high proof and it delivered in every way. Nose of the 2021 which was a bit funky and unpleasant, palate of the 2023 but better, and the nice long finish of the 2022.

Just asked and corrected OP. It was the second lowest proof barrel out of that batch. 131.8 proof

Either way, delicious juice. Would’ve been crazy to have a near-hazmat four roses though!

New release seems to be pretty plentiful. $115 locally. It’s cherry on the nose, molasses, and peanut shells. On the palate, it’s sweeter than previous releases, peanut right up front, darker fruit on the finish, with some lingering brown sugar that moves to baking spices and lemon zest finish. I like this release and will pick up another bottle.

I don’t normally drink finished Wiskey, but here it goes. Sweet on the nose. Chocolate then fruit ending with pepper on the finish. Different but tasty.

I'm a big fan of the Blood Oath approach.
