Favorite Whiskey?

Stumbled on to this one today. I know a lot of people on here seem to really like it. They only had one and it was $80…. I bought it not sure if that was too high but it’s the only one I’ve seen so I pulled the trigger….

That's how I grabbed mine too. It was the only left shelf so I figured why not. And that's what I paid in Va. And everything down here is at MSRP.

That TW post earlier…makes me laugh because there was a guy at my TW who ALWAYS suggested Chestnut Farms and the it’s as close to Blantons as you can get! My buddies bought me a bottle of that for my BD one year, it wasn’t bad actually but I won’t pay that price!


Anyhow….here I am with a TW special that for the price and the 1.75…you can’t beat this bottle for Old Fashions. For summer cocktails, well heck, any time cocktail, I love me an Old Fashion. This First Call works great! With a discount, $31 is a freaking deal for an OF and it’s not a bad sipper as well, as the manager at TW went and got the opened sample bottle so I could try it.

I like it...but...you gotta like heavy French oak. Paid $72 in DC

 

I have another. And 6 more on the way, though some of them are going to friends.

 

It's $74.99 in Ohio, I think it's worth it.

I believe that they are seasonal like blue corn version that is supposed to be out November sometime.

You may want to take him up on that offer. It is not listed on the Still Austin website right now.

My son just purchased a backup bottle for me last night at a liquor store in Austin. That is why I had a pour. I know more is coming in a few weeks.

 

Managed to grab one of these today. Was looking for one last bottle to round out the collection I’ve built up for my wedding next weekend. Based on this thread figured I should give it a try.
