Favorite Whiskey?

Have you had the high west before? If so, how do you like it?

 

I have not. I saw it a couple weeks back but passed. Picked it up for a better price yesterday. The description and the ram intrigued me.

I think it’s pretty good. Bottle label claims to have a lot going on with the flavor but I didn’t pick up on all of the notes they listed. Ive only had one drink out of it so far though so im looking forward to seeing if they pop out.

I’m still very new to this voyage so I dont have a ton of experience comparing it with a vast array of others.

 

No worries, and I appreciate the response. I've seen it from time to time but too have passed. Maybe I'll give it a go next time

Okay, this pretty epic.

 

At the lakehouse for a bit after some traveling the past few weeks. We finished off this great freaking bottle of toasted rye! Dad picked it up at a local shop back home during the 12 days of Christmas event. Wish I could find this more often..definitely one of my favorites!




Anyone have a recommendation on something similar to this?

This was a very interesting single barrel rye. Almost orange up front with some prune and licorice on the finish

 

Old Foresters are barely hitting shelves here if anyone wants one - 125, TAX INCLUDED plus ride.

 

Can’t beat this for price and availability.
