Whiskey?....it's all better than whisky.......unless one wishes to disinfect wounds or free rusty lugnuts, at times like those then any Scotch is better.

RedBreast is swell....but, Jameson if one is catholic, Bushmills for the protestants.

Busted CV boots and lots of squeaks.
Knob Creek: very good small batch, not favorite, but very good and smooth.

"Bulliet" small batch (orange label). That is my Favorite. I wish I had a bottle to take a pic of. It is oh so simple.

I just cracked a bottle of Monkey Shoulder tonight. Not disappointed. It's a very smooth blend of Speysides that won't break the bank.

Makers Mark is decent. Jack D is suitable as a mixer. Johnny Walker Gold Label 18 is great straight up and occasionally on the rocks. Although it's not available anymore and has been replaced with a lesser variation. I've been nursing my remaining supply like it's, well, gold!

There's whiskey, and then there's BOURBON!!!!!!!!!!! I live close enough to several of the distilleries for the top selling brands of bourbon, I can smell 'em if the wind blows in the right direction! Closest to home is the #1 selling brand of bourbon in all the world, Jim Beam. We've also got Four Roses, Heaven Hill, Makers Mark, Wild Turkey, and a number of others close by. Bourbon is named after Bourbon County Kentucky. My personal favorite is named after the gentleman who first distilled and bottled bourbon, Eligah Craig. I really like his 18 year old small batch variety.

At one point, in the very early days of the state of Kentucky's history, it was divided into TWO "counties". The largest of which was Bourbon County. What WAS Bourbon County is now divided into 19 (?) separate counties. But Bourbon County is still smack in the heart of the Bluegrass region. I live just south of Louisville, which is one of only two US cities with it's own official drink..and of course, it's made with Bourbon......The "Old Fashioned". Had me one yesterday with my dinner!

BTW, back in my younger, wilder days, my drink of choice was Wild Turkey "Rare Breed". Gobble gobble!

Love me some Glen Fiddich, 12, 15, or 18. Haven't tried the 21 yet as it's Uber expensive, McCallan is close second

At our wedding shower last weekend, I got some whiskey stones (stones you keep in the freezer to use instead of ice) and they're awesome! They act just like ice, except they don't melt. Definitely worth it:

^^^^^ Why are there tampons in his nose?

Some of the whiskeys/bourbons/rums I have "occasionally" sipped.:D

I started with Jack Daniels, to Jim Beam, to Southern Comfort, to Black Velvet then Wild Turkey 101. I have an occasional Johnny Walker and Captain Morgan. :drunk:
