Drank about a gallon of Bulliet last night at a party. Best part is that it was free! Bulliet, Coke, and a lime is pretty darn good

Compared to the other Four Roses I've had, this one is a good bit spicier. You can def feel the higher rye content right off the bat.

First glass I had was neat - Good but definitely spicy!

Second glass, I added an ice cube and it mellowed out the tongue heat and brought out some of the sweeter fruit flavors.

Overall, I like it a lot haha!

I found this the other day. It's pretty cool for the novelty but not the best Bourbon I've ever had. I'm not very sophisticated and don't like to play games so I prefer Wild Turkey 101 or Bookers.

That's what my dad drinks and what I got started on. But who the fuck can drink 101 on a school night? Makers is the house well bourbon these days, and I still keep a bottle of WT101 for the occasional taste and for dad.

Last night, had some Willet and water with the wife with our red velvet cheesecake for valentine's day after the kid FINALLY WENT THE FUCK TO SLEEP HOLY HELL HE WAS NUTS LAST NIGHT.

Dude, you might as well save your money and use Jack or Jim Beam with coke.

Received this as a birthday gift! Not bad at all.

Enjoyed a nice Bushmill's 10 year a bit ago (self purchased birthday gift).
Both were fantastic but pricy at $100 and $105 out the door (WA) so not a regular staple for my pocketbook.

I have tried quite a few whiskeys and prefer those that are less sweet. The following are my opinions on some of the whiskey's I have purchased.

Basil Hayden's: Nice, complex, heavy mouth feel and a little too sweet for me.
Maker's Mark 46: Good but still a little heavy (sweet) for my taste.
Woodford: Rich, heavy mouth feel and a little too sweet.
Knob Creek: Rich, heavy mouth feel and too sweet.
Jamison Black Barrel: Still a little sweet for me but I enjoyed the deep flavor derived from the Sherry casks. I would consider buying again.
Jamison: Nothing special in my opinion. Just a standard whiskey.
Jack Daniel's and the like: Just disgusting to me. (Sorry, I like what I like and don't what I don't).
    Bushmill's Honey: Too sweet.
Bushmills: My whiskey of choice for some time. Great flavor, light mouth feel that coincides with less sweetness. Straight or occasionally mixed with ginger ale, ice, and a lime wedge.

Any recommendations in the $30-$50 range are appreciated! As are any recommendations for those rare purchases in the $100 to $150 range.

I actually Jerry rigged it together from IKEA. It's two sideboard cabinets screwed together, and one of the tops to an entertainment center. I couldn't find anything that really had what I wanted, so I just figured it out. I'll try to look up the piece names if you want me to find them for you.
