Taken collectively, it's easily my favorite bourbon. 2015-01 is my #1. It varies batch to batch, with some being clearly better than others, but I think they're all at least 'good' with most being much better than that.

Pretty sure I don't have a cork, which is good lol. Im sorta tempted to just sell it to someone who would actually appreciate it. Im 22, don't really drink very often and when I do I just have cocktails lol

What I think I'm digging about Booker's is that each batch is different. Bourbons that I like and have bottle after bottle of, sometimes I find my taste has changed. I think it's a great idea to keep you on your toes so to speak. You're expecting it to be different, so maybe there's less disappointment?

Picked up my 2nd bottle of John J. in as many weeks. Good stuff from Buffalo Trace.
Hits taste wise somewhere between Blanton's and EH Taylor BIB. Glad no one's picking up on what this
really is. Because with the other 2 being on allocation, they're almost impossible to find.

It’s a single malt scotch, but I like it so...

Here’s a damn good whiskey for not a whole lot of cash:

Black bush is good. A little on the sweet side, even for an Irish, but not a bad sipper.

Love me some Michter's. Never had the 10 yr. Single Barrel. Bet it's quite tasty.

Well then if you're ever in the UK, I highly recommend trying to find some of the Penderyn Sherrywood. It's a Welsh whisky, with a very light, sweet flavor. Totally different character than either Irish or Scotch whiskies

    My sympathies

I actually used to spend a lot of time up that way; I grew up in Farmington and used to go 'logging road camping' (what they're now calling 'overlanding, apparently) all the time before I moved away in 2007. Then I bought a fixer-upper house a couple of years later and suddenly most of my spare camping time was otherwise occupied.

Not to hijack the thread but I loved it. Would still be there if it wasn’t for my wife and kid.

It's a nice place to enjoy a whisky. Some 'college friends' and I used to put in on Attean Pond and spend all day doing a slow drift/paddle down to Long pond, but it was mostly beer when we were doing it.

After a good day of catching bookies on dries, I used to love to partake of a little nip or two as the sun was going down with a little splash of water from one of the many springs in area. The state has its share of problems no doubt but Western Maine is a special place.

I like the Black Bush but if you really like Irish Whiskey either try Quiet Man , Sexton or Slane .... my favorite is Quiet Man.
