It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
I prefer Whisky over Whiskey. This is (probably) my favorite:

Got some Old Forester 1897 for the big 3-5 today. Didn’t wanna break the bank with the 1920 after spending almost 3k this past weekend since the commonwealth had a tax holiday.

Question on Stagg..what's too much to spend on a bottle?? What's the cheapest you've seen it for?

    Sr I'm assuming? or Jr?

Stagg valuation around 400-450 for 2017's and 2018's. Goes up slightly for older years. Secondary values obviously. It is very delicious but there's no way I'd personally pay that much.

Mine's getting close to half gone! Little lower than this pic, just last one I found...

I got lucky in a secondary raffle and had about $75 into the bottle iirc...

Interesting. I am pretty aligned with what he said about the first two batches, so I think our palates are fairly similar.

The strong oak and spice finish of Shiny Barrel is EXACTLY what I am referring to when I say it is a call back to some of the 2015 batches. It is among the most recognizable Booker's flavor profiles in the past couple of years. Not saying it is the best overall, but definitely in Booker's wheelhouse.

I'm excited about the fact that he holds Country Ham in high regard, but a little disappointed that some of it is based on high marks for what he says is "smooth", "easy to drink", and "sweet". Those are three things I'm never searching for in a Booker's batch.

Eyes are peeled, though, for when it hits Texas!

I have yet to try any of the 2019 bottles, but it sounds like I should wait for 03 to hit the shelves here.

I agree with your assessment though... in Booker's, I'm not looking for something smooth, sweet, and easy to drink. Hopefully those notes are just by comparison to this year's batches, and not compared to other bourbons in general.
