Special reserve extra aged sharp cheddar from Gibbsville, Wisconsin and beef summer sausage stick from Kohler, Wisconsin. Good stuff.

Guess I'll keep the wife around for a little longer.;)

Only BTAC I have is the '18 GTS which is quite good. I had a 2012 ER17 but let that one ride in a raffle. Glad @bvbull200 talked me into keeping the GTS though. Really enjoy it .

Tasting night #2 is off to a heavy hitting start with Heaven Hill
    20191019_165605.jpg

And before dinner... the two best bourbons I've ever had the privilege of tasting. Two unreleased Heaven Hill barrels... 18 year, 131 proof and 25 year, 151 proof. The story behind these bottles is as spectacular as the liquid inside of them... some time ago an employee managed to smuggle a few barrels out of Heaven Hill's rickhouse, then hand bottled them, and moved the stock by not-so-legal means. Some bottles from each barrel made it to the hands of a generous whiskey ambassador, who was willing to share these bourbons with those that pay it forward. From there my good friend deemed me worthy of the experience and I'll be forever grateful. This stuff is otherworldly, no exaggeration.
