    Laphroaig, if you wanna get real intense. Most Islay's will have a smokier, peatier flavor profile, Highlands tend to be a little lighter and more approachable. I like Balvine, Oban and Macallan 12 for kinda middle of the road.

    It's a great doc. Showcases Islay mostly, with Jim McEwan, former master distiller of Bruichladdich. You'll want to go to Islay ASAP after watching... I'm trying to schedule my 2020 trip.

    Yeah I'm itchin to do a Scotland/Ireland trip. Hitting up breweries and distilleries all along the way. I just wish I was in to golf also.

    i am so on the hunt for that stuff. i always keep a green bottle around, but I'm jonesing for the blue.
    got a bottle of that. when I'm in the mood for the medicinal notes, with a clean dry peat on top.

    I ran into a bottle of Full Proof at a liquor store in San Diego a few weeks ago, asked the owner what they were asking for it and he said $500. My local liquor store has a bottle of Weller 12 for $299. The mark up on Weller is getting pretty ridiculous.

    I had to buy a 160 dollar bundle including the Weller FP... with two 1792 FP picks and a 1792 BIB pick. Sucks I had already bought the 1792 FP bottles a few months ago, but they're decent and will make good trade bait. 40 bucks for each bottle is a pretty good deal though.
