Cheaper is 100% OK with me. I usually save about $100 in my whiskey account between bottles just in case theres a diamond somewhwere. :)

EDIT: Their American is sold out until February :(

I'm a fan of Michters - had some of the rye last night as a matter of fact. The US 1 (American Whiskey) is very good, but can be hard to get.

Are you looking strictly for bourbon? Lots of options, depending on what you like...

I had their Rye last night as well

My TW almost always has the Rye and US1 in stock. I ended up grabbing all but two bottles of the American last time they got a shipment of them in. I'll be grabbing more next time they get some in but it likely won't be till March.

I've had my eye out for some of the toasted barrel finishes as of recent

I guess I'm not too picky with rye vs bourbon as I solidly enjoy them both. Hows the US 1? I'm thinking of picking up a US1 Rye and the bourbon since they have some still available near me.

Makers is the only one in that group that I've had and it is really good. Picked up a bottle not too long ago.

Just placed my order for the Michters US1 Bourbon. The back end of it has a Rye taste (per description) so I get the best of both worlds it seems with this one.

In my area the Michter's toasted barrel stuff is damn near impossible to find in a chain retailer (i.e. BevMo/Total Wine), where you'd get it for a reasonable price. Some independent shops may have it but you'd have pay big $$$ to get it.

The rye I'm currently drinking is very good, as is the US 1 whiskey. The other 2 bottles I have - straight bourbon and sour mash - I haven't tried yet. I had a bottle of the limited release barrel strength rye once and that was tasty.

I’ve decided that you can’t go wrong with High West rye.

I love that one, haven’t had it in a while though it’s readily available in my area. That might have to change...

So has anybody tried this stuff? It’s been sitting on the shelf of one my local liquor stores (the only place I’ve ever seen it) and I’ve been kinda curious about it but not curious enough to drop the coin. Besides the fact that I have heard nothing about it I think I’m mostly hesitant because it’s made in Napa and the labels look more like wine bottles than whiskey.

It’s not how many times the bottle gets knocked down it’s how many times it gets back up that counts.
