I didn't open any of those 3... I tried more of the Steeple Ridge BP that was already opened... Not sure about that one.

Most of the votes were for the JD so I'll likely get into that this weekend.

Successful liquor run #2 this week

It was behind the counter along with George T Stagg which I was afraid to ask the price of. What’s the going rate on those that’s a fair price? Curiosity has got the best of me :anonymous:

I would buy it if it was $200 or less. It retails for $99. I think the product in the bottle is worth $150. I would pay up to $200 for it personally...ALTHOUGH...I don't think the 2019 GTS is as good as years past. I've only had 2017 and 2019. IMO the 2017 is much better. Some of the "expert" tasters tend to agree that it was a bit off this year.

EDIT: The Colonel is a solid pickup.

Thanks for the info, the E.H.Taylor didn’t have a price on it and was only $55 so I’m hoping the Stagg is “cheap” lol

$55 is a fair price for EHT. If I could buy it say, once a month consistently I'd pay that.

Same, I paid $60 for a bottle a year ago. Between then and now I’ve seen maybe 3 pop up between $80-$120 and no way I was going to pay that knowing I’d paid less before haha

Probably should have gotten a picture before I'd finished most of the pour, but... :notsure:

Felt like a having a little Shenandoah Valley in my glass this evening.

I'm a little bummed, though. I'm on the tag end of the last bottle that I brought back from that trip. Might have to go back lol!

Edit-this is one brand that improves once you open it. The first pour involves the smoke punching you really hard right in the middle of the face with a set of brass (copper?) knuckles. Once it gets to breathe a little the smoke fades back some and the other flavors start showing up.

    As far as taylor pricing

    Small batch 39.99
    Single barrel 69.99

I don’t buy the small batch too often, I can snag the single when it comes around and I usually keep 2-3 in the bunker.

bottle I just killed was a 2016 bottle, honey Carmel bomb with barrel char on the back end, such a good pour.

if all goes well tonight I’m almost done another buff Trace product

GTS goes for $400 secondary for this year and last year's . Give or take. Older ones up from there.

It was probably 500 or more on the shelf...
