We had so much fun. We hang out with our neighbors once per week almost religiously. Friday night is usually either at our place or theirs and we just hang out, let the kids play, and talk while imbibing in our favorite beverage. This was the first Friday of the lockdown and we had to improvise. It wasn't ideal, but damn we had a great time, still.

I'd set up a room, get the link, post here, then folks could click and join (would sign in with your Google account if you have one). Use your webcam and mic if you want to be fully involved (there is no shame in my game).

I don't know how many it would support at once and it can get a little chaotic if too many people are talking at once, but we're a civilized bunch of gentlemen, I think? :anonymous:

When we went on the cruise last year I think all of us were trying to see who could punish their livers first and most.

The only drawback for me is that I'm only using my phone.. no computer at home!

But please don't let that stop the rest of you from joining in! I think it's brilliant in this fuckfacer of a time!

My wife is already fast asleep and I switched from whiskey to Rainier, this staying home thing is rough... it may also be the fact we normally wake up between 2:30-3am.

Well I did this today. There are rumors that Phoenix is about to get locked down as the national guard will be deployed. I figured I better get something to remember it by and to keep myself entertained. @bvbull200 what's it like to have the city shut down? 20200321_193732.jpg

I like it. As others have mentioned, it can be a bit different barrell to barrell. I won't pay the secondary prices I've seen, but when it shows up at TW for $26, I feel it's a no brainer.

We're not completely shut down here like in LA or NY, but there have been strong recommendations to limit time out of the house and keep social gatherings to 10 or less. Fortunately, my immediate area seems to be doing a very good job of observing social distancing. Roads are quiet, but they aren't empty. My neighbors and I aren't the over reactionary type, but we are the type to over engineer a solution to a problem - be sure it's fixed the first time. Because of the latter, we're going ahead and taking all the expert suggestions to heart and doing our part to help stave this thing off. I went shopping today at a restaurant supply store - picked up a bunch of bulk stuff for the house (ground beef, cheese, pasta, etc.) and delivered some stuff to my folks. Otherwise, it's pretty much hanging tight. Any given day where you don't get out and just lounge around the house all day isn't all that crazy - I have those from time to time anyways. It is the stringing them together that is weird.

A day (and a drink) at a time.
