SmB, SR, and SiB were three I've picked up locally. Single barrel I got lucky on and found two at twin liquors. Barrel proof was a trade.

I had a Four Grain for a short time (acquired online) but I sold it cause an opportunity came up to buy a grill I really wanted. The Ranch Kettle has outlived what the 4G would've :D

Also, in the beginning I did trade a couple bottles I wish I would've kept. That '12 ER17 I forgot I had for a short time. Wish I would've kept it!

Damn ER 17 usually has the fewest bottles available each year. Probably would have never traded that

Barrel proof is probably #1 on my want list

Would that be The Weber Ranch Kettle?! I've lusted for one of those for some time. Had an alert setup for Craigslist and one popped up. The grill bars looked like they were rusted and a handle was missing, but they were only asking something like $150. I called immediately and got a voicemail. Found out I was like the 5th guy to call and it was already gone. Probably better that I didn't get it, I can't imagine that I'd get much use out of it...

I guess I’m just not a Weber guy. They are good but always too much money for my cheap self.

Same. I bought a Home Cheapo grill with adjustable charcoal tray on sale in the fall for $100. The internals lasted roughly a year (to be fair, I grill 4-5 days a week during the spring/summer/fall and 2-3 during the winter). So I rebuilt them with $20 of material from the local steel store, and so far it's lasted another 6 years of constant use without needing any attention. Weber's are sweet grills that run great right out of the box, but they're too rich for my blood.

On the other hand, if I found a deal on a Big Green Egg I'd buy it in a heartbeat. :notsure:

At one time I had 4 grills (3 charcoal and 1 gas) plus a pellet smoker. I downsized and kept the smaller Weber (18.5 I think) and the pellet smoker, but really wasn't happy with the pellet pooper. So I got a Weber 26" and use that for smoking while the PP just collects dust. I find I can keep the temp as consistent in the 26" using the snake method just as well as the PP did, but I get much better smoke flavor using real wood chunks. So I can grill, BBQ and smoke with just those and they should last a long time, negating the need to buy another one any time soon.

I will say that while the Weber tub is solid and durable some of the other parts, like the legs and wheels, are cheap and flimsy. My plan is to replace the plastic wheels with some Harbor Freight inflatable wheelbarrow weels someday.
