Damn, I can get it pretty much all day everyday for $41.99 + tax at my local Total Wine. Holler if you guys want any shipped up there. Might not be worth it for one bottle but I'm sure you'd save a few bucks on multiples

Speaking of which, looks like it just got more American and Sour Mash in. Guess I'm making a stop on my way home

Mine is mostly 100+ proof pours with a couple really flavorful 90ish proofs. Just start mix and matching, but don't put in anything you don't like.
Some people like to do several bottles: all rye, all wheated, one distillery, etc.20200404_190816.jpg

Just need to know how many you want and what ya want on them. We have a min of two of them because of shipping. We all the Glens and all sorts of other glassware and about anything else ya want lasered. Heck just pulled some paver bricks off the machine we were doing for a local city.

I would keep like-for-like, meaning generally don't mix scotch with bourbon. I had a good bottle going with scotch and Japanese, then put some strong bourbon in it and it really messed up the flavor. At least that was my experience.

Yeah this was $58 after tax, the store by my house has the 4 standard offerings but like I say they are all in the $75 range after tax and they have the 10 year but want some ridiculous amount for it.

With our taxes total prices here are a bit skewed. And I avoid going close enough to the city to get to a TW or BevMo most of the time so I usually pay a little bit more of a markup at the smaller shops in Everett or Lake Stevens which I'm ok with. I'm just glad they are around to have a selection beyond the basic stuff at the grocery store or Target.

Out of curiosity, how much do they want for their 10 year?

I don't remember off the top of my head but I want to say it was in the $450-500 range, it was enough that I took one look, laughed and didn't give it another thought.

Yeah, I wouldn't even entertain that price. It's good but damn, you can buy a lot of other stuff for way less than that price

It might not have been quite that high but I know it was up in that realm, one thing to consider though is at the price about $80 of it is tax here too. I usually limit myself to no more than $100 for a bottle, I'm a firm believer in quality over quantity but there is so much good quality whiskey under that price that I want to be able to afford the quantity as well so I can try different stuff.

I try and stay under $50 a bottle and believe the same as far as quality whiskey without high price points. That being said, I can get most stuff at retail.
There's a few bottles I'll pick up over that $50 price point but I normally won't walk in and pick a random $50+ bottle without having looked for it for some time. I definitely paid more than $50 for my Michter's 10 and I'm looking for another one too.
