I have the Willett bottle because of its unique shape.. still haven't tried it.. I did enjoy the Angel's Envy tho.. I'm not sure I've seen many of the others around here either.

Anyone have any experience shipping whiskey? How’s you do it? Who’d you use? How’d you pack it?

Technically it's illegal to ship alcohol.

Probably just wrap it in big bubble wrap 2 or 3 times, bubbles facing in and throw it in a snug box. If its a really spendy or special bottle you can double box it with newspaper filler in between the two boxes. Also those tubes that bottles come in offer some good protection.

Add a box or two of hard candy in the shipping box to cover up the liquid sloshing sound with a rattle sound. Then the recipient gets a bonus!

Not sure on booze... But for the Hot Sauce, BBQ Sauce, Essential Oils, and Olive Oils I've mailed:

Wrap the bottle up in saran wrap, at least the top, and run some electrical tape around it. Heat can cause the tops to pop a little and potentially leak, even without breaking seals.
Bubble wrap and filler. Lots. Don't skimp on box size. You'll want a few inches at least on every side. Pack with filler paper, packing peanuts, etc.
    Tape up all seams.
If extra care is desired for some nice sauce, double box it.
UPS/FedEx Label - Print at home with measurements and weight
Avoid "Fragile" Stickers as that is just a "Kick Me" sticker on the box it seems  (pack well and you'll be fine)
    Drop off at store.

candy/Mac - Noise Makers - I don't use anymore personally. I think they draw more attention than "hide" anything. Some stories out there of boxes showing up having been repacked and gone through.

    my two pennies
