I've been working on a new project but I haven't decided how to finish the wood...

    IMG_20200604_153817.jpg

Im thinking a box for each "flavor" of Jack... And I've already done the burned look... Still an option but at the bottom of the list. Painted or stained... Need some input from y'all on this matter. They'll be going against a white wall.. I've thought about painting the wood gray and that would let each color of the bottles pop...

    Too many options!

Yes I paid markup on full proof... But still a good amount under secondary. :fingerscrossed:

I dig the TX shaped bottles.

And I suspect Weller is just another Blanton's... But to each their own!! Haha

The republic line also makes a whiskey in that bottle.

And yeah... The Weller Full Proof is scarce to the general public to say the least. I found for 199 :bananadead:

Secondary is up to almost 340 though. If I don't like it, a friend here already offered to buy it off me at my price. I knew that going in, so worst case I can try for free :D

340 is where it's trying to push anyway. But I want to drink this one too! Possibly tonight, but I've been craving this lone Elm :bananadance:

    Drink the whiskies! :fistbump:

I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of the full proof. I'm trying to whittle down some open bottles before I crack new ones. I need a whiskey buddy out here... or maybe a W.T.F. Texas chapter get together?

Not yet. But I did have more of the honest. Good stuff!

Used to have friends from Baytown but they moved away.

But a get together would be fun someday. Camping and whiskey

Your friends sound smart to have moved away... it sucks out here :bananadead:

A campout would be cool! Maybe a Hidden Falls trip since it's sorta in the middle of the state? Wheeling can be optional for those that aren't into that... we've got passenger seats for shenanigans. Shame it's already a million degrees outside though. Maybe larter this Fall we can put something together.

A few of us are already planning to want to do a camping trip sometime this fall. Will have to recover to post here too! Somewhere central at a lake is what we were hoping.
